LongCat-2.5-Preview

LongCat-2.5-Preview is Meituan's follow-up to its open-source LongCat-2.0 flagship, released September 25, 2026 with a materially different disclosure posture: no technical write-up, no published weights, and no benchmark table, where LongCat-2.0 shipped a tech blog, MIT weights, and a benchmark table. It carries a 1 million token context window with up to 131,072 output tokens, adds native image input on top of LongCat-2.0's text-only design, and ships interleaved reasoning traces alongside tool calling built to work with Claude Code and other mainstream agent harnesses out of the box. Meituan prices it at $0.30 per million input tokens, $0.006 on a cache hit, and $1.20 output through its pay-as-you-go API, labeled limited-time discounted, the same discounted rate LongCat-2.0 already runs at rather than a genuinely new number. A two-week free trial through OpenCode comes with OpenCode's stated zero data retention policy and a promise not to train on submitted data. Because Meituan has published no independent or even self-reported benchmark scores for this release, every capability claim beyond the spec sheet currently rests on third-party spot testing rather than anything the company has put a number to.
